Here is a shot of a sim getting a promotion from being friends with another sim in the same field. This is the only time I've seen this happen. Has anyone else seen this happen?

If memory is correct, this happened before OFB was released. (EP... Uni and NL)

Here is a shot of the first time Mortimer died. He died in plat, but didn't get a plat urn. He died with 25 friends. I used the way prosperity works to take advantage of building friendships and it paid off. (Thanks to The Grim Reaper phone, Mortimer is still in my game.)

STRATEGY: One objective while playing each lot was to make sure every sim on the lot was friends or best friends with any elder in the neighborhood. I also made note of who the popularity (sometimes romance) sims were and built relationships with them too. When I played their lots, I was able to get the end of life bonus or IW in less time than if I only worked on those while on their lots.

Notice the big hit to the girl. -15,536 OUCH. This is a glitch that the patch probably fixes. I don't have the patch and will probably not get it.

The subtraction is to the sims influence meter. I know, not that impressive when you realize it is influence meter. What causes this is having the last row of perks. The one that is suppose to give the sim a boost to influence and aspiration. For some reason, they take a hit to the influence instead of a plus. Although, I wonder what the point of giving a sim 15k influence when they don't bank influence points.

I've not seen anyone post about this, so the patch must fixed it.

Here is a shot of what a death looks like if a sim still owns shops. It is fun to watch who they will go to by the games standards. I look forward to playing with this option more.

So far, I've had about 4 or 5 sims die that still owned lots. They have all died of old age, so get the double pop up. One for the shop transfer and one for inheritance. When shops are passed to a new sim, all shops go to one person. So if you want to split ownership between others, you may want to do that before the sim dies. If there is a sim living within the household and is a teen or older, the shops will go to them before someone outside the house.

With the above death, I made sure the sim had a better relationship with a sim off the lot than anyone on the lot. I really didn't think the shops would transfer off unless no possible sim to transfer the shops to. From my very limited (only 4-5 deaths) experience, it seems to work this way.

This snap shot is about the fly. Can you see the fly between the two sims heads? These two were on a date in the dirty kitchen. While I zoomed in to work on the dream date, I noticed the fly's. I never zoomed so close to them, but found it interesting so snapped a shot.

I like the new option for kids to blow bubbles. I wish the option was available for all sims and not just kids. If you watch the kids as they blow bubbles, they tend to like sipping the suds. Thanks Maxis for the laugh.

This was a fun day and fun test. I love this picture with all the bags on the ground. It SCREAMS bad business or over worked employee.

I did this as a test to see if I could manage a faster restocking and cashier badge for my sims. The sim at the register was responsible for restocking and being the cashier. The bags on the floor collected while she was working at the flower bench. She worked at the bench until her needs dropped, then went to the energizer and back to shop work. I wanted the bags to pile up so she would have something to do between ringing up customers. It didn't take her long to clean up the shop and keep the current customers happy. She was able to juggle sales, cashier and restocking.

If your working for ALL 7 badges on a sim, you may want to give this a try. Have the sim work in a shop by them self. It can be a little crazy juggling it all at first, but after a while you will get the hang of it. I enjoy the challenge of it. Of course, it works best with a perm plat sim so you can easily refresh them when needed.

Special note: A customer will wait at the register for a while before they get mad and walk away. Sometimes you can even wait until there are two at the register before you go over to ring them up. It helps to get the badges faster if you keep your shops small. Avoid "extra" things for the sims to do on your lot. You don't want them hanging around and not buying things. If you have other items (pinball), you may want to add a venue so you can at least earn a little cash and some stars for the sims who are just taking up space. Another option is to have your sim say goodbye to the sim who is no longer shopping or offer to show them an item.

Here is a picture of my (so far) most successful house. I was trying to figure out what the top amount a house can have in Net Worth. I thought it would be 9,999,999. Maybe the top will be 99,999,999. If so, it may take me a while to determine if that is the top amount.
