Here is a shot of a sim getting a promotion from being friends with another sim in the same field. This is the only time I've seen this happen. Has anyone else seen this happen?
If memory is correct, this happened before OFB was released. (EP... Uni and NL)

Yes, I've had it happen. It's a Nightlife thing. Happens after a successful outing (or date?) with a sim in the same career track.

i've seen it several times - it happens if the sim friends that you sim brings home from work have a really good time on an outing or date. If my sim is not already attached, i often have them date the friend they bring home to get the promotion - "pulling strings" can get you a promotion even if you don't have enough skills or friends.

When my sims have dream dates, this happens somethings. The wierdest one was where the sim was at the top of their career and got promoted to the top of the career again after a date. :) Have you had the bonus of getting skills from a good date/outing?
I can't wait to give this a try. I didn't realize it was from outings or dates. The outing makes sense with Angela Pleasant because she went on several.
