A dog with unlocked Green Fur.
A little kitty in a pet house. It looks so small in that big house.
Kitty on the counter, face deep into the jello.
He stayed until every drop of jello was consumed.
ROFL very cat like.

Leader of the Pack

Leader of the Pack is a wolf with glowing eyes. He will randomly visit at night. Other wolfs will visit at different times of the day.

Skunk is BACK!!!!

When the skunk visits, he usually just walks around the lot. So far he has not bothered any of the sims or the pets. I just leave him be. I guess he got hungry and took advantage of a tipped over trash can.

Goofy Dog Color (unlocked)

Conception
Birth
Puppy Stage
Adult Stage

Here are two large dogs, both with the goofy hair color. One has a long fluffy tail, long skinny nose, and some blue color on the back (left). The other is all goofy color, with a short tail, and muscular body. Slight variations in features.

Pets need a private place to make babies. A sim can click on a pet to get the option to have the pet "try for puppies with.." Click that and pick the pet of interest. The sim needs to have a relationship with the dog that is being asked to "try for puppies..." in order for the dog to take the request. Both dogs need to be in a good mood. If all is in order, they will head off to the dog house. One goes in and the other follows. The door SLAMS shut and fireworks spark out the top and dust forms at the bottom. If any sims are outside, they will gather around the dog house cheering on the happy couple.

After they are finished, the door opens and they exit. The male wonder off and the female went back into the doghouse and laid down.

The only human sim in the house is teaching one of the dogs to "play dead". Its fun to watch the pets learn the new tricks. It doesn't seem to take a huge amount of time to learn the tricks.

Several days have passed and it is time for the birth. The mom curls up on the floor and sparkles.
Sparkles brighter.
Then sparkles lighter. The dad to be isn't worried, he grabs a snack as he waits. The next shot showed the puppy appear near the back of the mom dog. I must have missed that shot.

Here the mom is first sniffing her pup. You can see the dad still eating his snack in the background.

Time for the pups first bath. The first attempt produced one puppy. SO... I sent the mom and dad back to the dog house to try again

This time she had THREE pup's. She was laying in the square she is standing in. The pups poofed up in the three around her. It happens pretty quick.

Here are the pups all grown up. The mom and dad are the two standing up and walking toward the kitchen. The pups got a mix of the parents. One has a short tail, one had a fluffy tail, and the other two have long tails. One or two (both chewing the dog bone) are all goofy color. The other two are a mix of goofy and blue.

With so many adult dogs heading off to work, it doesn't take long to open up other hidden items. So far, I have unlocked 35 fur colors and/or pet collars.

Servo funnies

Servo runs amok. This was a visiting servo at the Goths, original, house. I had a shop there and was getting rid of out of stock signs. I guess the servo had one of the items in his bag. As soon as I started the game up, the servo was running around shocking anyone who was close to him. Locking the doors didn't do anything, he went right through them. I guess door locks don't keep out crazy robots. :D
Servo decided to take a dip in the hot tub. I think she is asking for trouble.
She stayed in the hot tub for about a second and decided it wasn't for her.

Servo decided she wanted a bath (auto). As soon as I saw her run the water for the tub, I cancelled the action. She still got in and then got out. Silly servo. I ended up locking the bathroom to this servo and took away the hot tub.

If you look close, you may see the black smoke coming out of the servo. Their needs take a huge hit when they get into water. Even so, they can't seem to resist some pools and water wiggley's around the neighborhood.

Cow Plant in ACTION

Lemonade Stand

Elders can sell lemonade just as well as kids.

Herb Oldie

This is Herb Oldie. He is one of the elders in the sim bin at the start of Pleasantview. He's a romance sim. (or was since he passed away)

It looks like he is crying at another sims grave. When I took the picture, I imagined it was his wife. The stone is a fortune plat stone and his wife was family. I suppose, it could have been one of his many loves.

I don't think sim ghosts cry for other dead sims. I think this happened to be the location that Herb received his visit from grim. Ghosts will return to their original death spot and cry, then jump into the ground. I didn't notice if he did that.

I thought it made an interesting storyline photo op. Sometimes you can stage storyline pictures by moving a sim around (moveobjects on). I'm unaware of anyway to move a ghost sim around to stage a storyline shot.

Ghost Chat

Have you ever seen a sim hang out with a ghost?

Here is a sim using her power to manipulate and takes a -15k hit to influence. In the next pictures, she earns a 30K Impossible want.

The -15k to influence is probably a glitch related to getting a certain perk and has nothing to do with the manipulate option. The picture makes it look like it could be, but it isn't the reason.

A newly adopted kid is teasing the biological toddler with a toy rocket.

She puts the rocket behind her back and laughs at the toddler trying to grab it

The toddlers older sister noticed. She stormed her like the rain would never stop. I should rename her thunderstorm the way she ran to defend the helpless toddler. I never saw the random teasing before and then the other kid sticking up for the toddler was too funny. I'm really glad I accidentally saw this. Has anyone else noticed an older kid teasing a toddler?

The last house I have to showcase. Again, one of my favorites to play. With the massive amount of money that can be made with OFB, there is lots of room to get creative with the sims living area. This house ended up being Alexander Goths and his descendents home.

This is a view of the house and pool area. I've made several pools with the hot tub in the middle. There is a walkway for sims to get to the hot tub without going into the pool.

3rd Floor. Storage area also used as a bar, love nest, and play room for the kids.

2nd floor. 2 Large bedrooms that exit to private balcony areas. A bathroom and living area with bar. I had a lot of fun creating the carpet design. Each room has its own color theme, but the entire floor is connected in the design.

1st floor. 1 large bedroom, nursery, study, entry, and kitchen.

A view of the backyard and pool area.

This one shows the bridge to the hot tub.

Orphanage Awaits

B I tried something new the other day. I decided to kill off a sim who had a child to see what would happen. After grimmy came and left, the social worker came and picked up the child. This was the pop up I got.

44K Red House

This house SCREAMS red. Lots and lots of red. It is a 44k lot. Comes with 2 red cars and more. (as is sleeps ten sims at a time)

3rd floor. Extra area for all those things that collect over the life of a family. Currently has a cowplant and candy machine.

2nd floor has 2 bedrooms and a bath. Large open are for individual creativity. Currenty houses some career rewards.

1st floor: Large study to the left (sleeps 4). To the right: living room with fireplace, bathroom and kitchen.

Another view of the first floor. Didn't notice the pink puff of smoke when I snapped the picture.

This is one of my favotire lots. The color is so bold and the floor plan is very different from any of my other creations.

White Cake Lot 42K

This is a remake of my pink cake house. I improved the floorplan and took out some extra walls. Got rid of the elevator. It took the lot that was 54k down to 42k. Still not low enough for a starting out sim, but a great house when the start up lot gets bugged. The lot comes with lots of snaps and a white car in the driveway. (as is sleeps 6 sims)

Top balcony. Ready for stargazing and (crossing fingers) alien abductions.

3rd floor: A nursery that could easily be changed into a bedroom for a double bed.

2nd floor: Kids room, sleeps four. Bathroom and extra area. The extra area could be used as a single desk study. Currently has a few career rewards.
1st floor. Double bed bedroom, with study next door. The study could be changed into a nursery. Living room, kitchen, bathroom. No table. With all the snaps the sims never eat anyway.

Retirement Center: Here are a few pictures of the graveyard at the retirement center.

View: Back yark toward street.
View: Street side toward back yard.
A view of several graves.
This is Daniel Pleasants grave and the second sim to vacation with grimy. I had 2 GCS sims in my challenge. A father and son team. I orbed the son when he was a teen, so he grew up eating GCS with his father. It made for cute pictures. All the clicking can drive a person batty. I was glad to get their IW done and had no interest to repeat it again. I found GCS to be a point maker in Legacy(aspiration points for elixir), but the opposite was true in the prosperity challenge. Since the son was a cheese head from teen on, I didn't spend time on his skills. He managed one top of career in his elder years. I could have elixir'd him, but was tired of the endless wants to eat gcs, make gcs, serve gcs.

The yellow tower.
This is what the house looked like before the changes. Can you tell it is the same house? The main floorplan remained the same. I added floors up and the tower. If I recall correctly, the house costs 17k to move in. Its fully furnished, with lots of room to expand. One of my favorite starter houses.

I managed my first accidental death by kite. I figured if I waited long enough it would happen. I have a nice collection of "evil kites" laying around. Sims will pick them up and use them when your not watching. I didn't see the sim playing with the kite. I saw the big flash of light and started looking for the sim.

This is the first shot I got of the sim. The lightning caused the sim to stand in a square of fire. The sim just stands there stomping in a real agony sort of way. Notice the green plumb bob in the pic.
Here is the sim after a while of agony. Her dd came to watch but didn't offer any help.
The sim died and grim came. All the excitement has caused the sims daughter to want to go to sleep.
A servo came and pled for the sims life. He had to guess the hand that had the correct glowing blue ball. Servo won and the sim is still in play.

Here is one of my newest remodeled houses. The house started out as a white castle theme. Some of you may recognize the other style. I used yellow to give it its very own look from the neighborhood area.

A night time view.

The male sim had a relationship ready for a first kiss. This relationship inspired the tower. I thought it would be a fairy tale place for a sim to have their first kiss. If you look close at the first picture, you can see them standing on the tower balcony.
Then he asked her to marry him. She said yes. The female is a romance sim. This should prove to be an interesting marriage.
The layout of the lot is very basic. This is the view of the balcony level. You can see the sims frozen in the corner.
One down from the highest floor. There is a bathroom with magic steps to the other floors.
One down from that. Another bathroom and empty room used for storage. Can you find the orb? I just may use that on the romance sim.
This is the bottom floor. It has one bedroom large enough for a double bed. A study that can easily be changed to a nursery when needed. As is, it sleeps 6 sims. Two in the bedroom and 4 in the livingroom. I love recliners. They are one of the best budge items for sims with little cash. Place them in the living room near the kitchen. The sim will eat, sleep, and study in the chairs. Another plus, your sims don't have to make the bed when the finish napping.

Here are three shots of move in money my sims got from a legal move. Each sim can move once per age and can only move in by "ask to move in". Merge from family bin isn't allowed except after uni. A good rule early in the challenge when a sim would get 20K from the family bin and less with "ask to move in". Later in the game, a sim could get a much larger amount than 20k resulting in a BIG POINT advantage.

The above moves were a result of moving an elder sims to the retirement house. The move is based on the way I play out my elders. It wasn't to take advantage of something that may not have been considered or thought of when the rule was made.

This realization inspired the vote on a change regarding how sims should be allowed to move around in the neighborhood.

Here is a couple pictures of the clown in the box. A cute toy made off of the new Toy Bench added with OFB.

The toddler is so delighted by the friendly clown that he hugs him. It happens pretty fast so get close and watch.
You can see the toddler is delighted by the surprise of the clown jumping out of the box.

Some of the work bench items will produce an item with a negative surprise. Here is a negative for the clown-in the box. To get the negative result on a work bench, have your sim making items while their aspiration is low (or in the red).

This little toy could be the source of adults and childrens fear of clowns. It is also possible, that tragic clown from the sims1 is also responsible for the fear.

Looking at the pictures, what sort of negative hit on their needs would one expect from playing with the clown in the box? Looking at the lady place her hand on her heart and gasp for air, I would expect "death by clown box" could be a possibility. The sim takes a big hit on their bladder and that is about it. (scares the pee out of them... lol) If their bladder is full it will drain 1/4 down up to 1/2. So the worse thing that will happen is they will pee on the floor.

Here is a shot of a sim getting a promotion from being friends with another sim in the same field. This is the only time I've seen this happen. Has anyone else seen this happen?

If memory is correct, this happened before OFB was released. (EP... Uni and NL)

Here is a shot of the first time Mortimer died. He died in plat, but didn't get a plat urn. He died with 25 friends. I used the way prosperity works to take advantage of building friendships and it paid off. (Thanks to The Grim Reaper phone, Mortimer is still in my game.)

STRATEGY: One objective while playing each lot was to make sure every sim on the lot was friends or best friends with any elder in the neighborhood. I also made note of who the popularity (sometimes romance) sims were and built relationships with them too. When I played their lots, I was able to get the end of life bonus or IW in less time than if I only worked on those while on their lots.

Notice the big hit to the girl. -15,536 OUCH. This is a glitch that the patch probably fixes. I don't have the patch and will probably not get it.

The subtraction is to the sims influence meter. I know, not that impressive when you realize it is influence meter. What causes this is having the last row of perks. The one that is suppose to give the sim a boost to influence and aspiration. For some reason, they take a hit to the influence instead of a plus. Although, I wonder what the point of giving a sim 15k influence when they don't bank influence points.

I've not seen anyone post about this, so the patch must fixed it.

Here is a shot of what a death looks like if a sim still owns shops. It is fun to watch who they will go to by the games standards. I look forward to playing with this option more.

So far, I've had about 4 or 5 sims die that still owned lots. They have all died of old age, so get the double pop up. One for the shop transfer and one for inheritance. When shops are passed to a new sim, all shops go to one person. So if you want to split ownership between others, you may want to do that before the sim dies. If there is a sim living within the household and is a teen or older, the shops will go to them before someone outside the house.

With the above death, I made sure the sim had a better relationship with a sim off the lot than anyone on the lot. I really didn't think the shops would transfer off unless no possible sim to transfer the shops to. From my very limited (only 4-5 deaths) experience, it seems to work this way.

This snap shot is about the fly. Can you see the fly between the two sims heads? These two were on a date in the dirty kitchen. While I zoomed in to work on the dream date, I noticed the fly's. I never zoomed so close to them, but found it interesting so snapped a shot.

I like the new option for kids to blow bubbles. I wish the option was available for all sims and not just kids. If you watch the kids as they blow bubbles, they tend to like sipping the suds. Thanks Maxis for the laugh.
